Tri-Star Apparel Exports (Pte) Ltd. has the distinction of being Sri Lanka’a premier garment manufacturing and export company and owning the highest number of manufacturing plants.

In 1979 we  began operations in a small way, setting up our first Garment factory under the name of Thushara Garments at Katubedda, a suburban area of Colombo with only 10 machines and 15 employees. A significant development occurred when Tri-Star in 1989 secured an order for 100 dozens of garments from the prestigious UK based international store of Marks & Spencer. Satisfied with Tri-Star’s quality of products, the UK firm of S.R. Gent, a major supplier to leading garment buyers (including Marks & Spencer) entered into collaboration with Tri-Star.

Since then, there has been no looking back and we have been able to grow into a major player in the industry, attracting several reputed buyers abroad, particularly in the United Kingdom and the United States of America. Our high standards of quality earned us the confidence of the famous Marks & Spencer of UK and have maintained this prestigious account up to date for nearly two decades.

Our persistent adherence to quality, reasonable pricing and timely delivery have gained honour to the Tri-Star Group during it’s 27 years in the industry and in the process has been able to widen it’s market share in Europe and the USA. Negotiations are under way to supply garments to Germany and the Scandinavian countries.

The Tri-Star Group stands out in it’s pioneering efforts to provide employment and harnessing the rural talents of the country, by setting up factories in the villages under the companies Town to Village concept. By means of a concentrated training programme Tri-Star has been successful in developing the skills of  the rural folk and producing high quality garments to suit international standards and designs.

We constantly upgrade our machinery and equipment, in the process acquiring the latest technology in keeping with international standards.
